Fujits Ltd. adopted Anova Suite™ and ChronoVA™ as the statistical
design solutions for Fujitsu's 65nm and 90nm products
Anova Solutions Corporation (Yokohama, Japan) and Anova Solutions, Inc.
(Santa Clara, CA; hereinafter collectively "Anova") announced
that Fujits Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan) adopted Anova Suite™ and ChronoVA™ as the statistical
design solutions for Fujitsu's 65nm and 90nm products.
Anova's Anova Suite™ and ChronoVA™ provide total solutions
for high-speed and highly accurate statistical timing analysis of LSI design.
They are based on the unique statistical modeling called SAP (Stochastic
Analysis Process), and include Library Characterization, LVA (Layout Variation
Analysis), Delay Calculation, STA (Static Timing Analyzer), and SSTA (Statistic
Static Timing Analysis) tools.
Fujitsu was seeking design solutions for process variation which is getting
more significant in the advanced Silicon technology of 90nm or later in
lower performance yield and longer design TAT due to the excess guardband.
Fujitsu and Anova have been jointly developing the solutions to integrate
Anova's unique statistical modeling and analysis technique into Fujitsu's
design flow. After the extensive evaluation in both design and process
engineering, Fujitsu has decided to adopt Anova Suite™ and ChronoVA™
as the accurate design solutions for its 65nm and 90nm designs.
Mr. Shoji Ichino, General Manager of Technology Development, Electronic
Device Business Group at Fujitsu, comments that process variation is now
a big roadblock in developing a product of 90nm or later. It impacts performance
yield, design tern around time, thus the cost of the product, and finally
the competitiveness of Fujitsu's product. Anova's Anova Suite™ and
ChronoVA™ will for sure provide the solutions to solve the problems
that we are facing in this process variation.
